Mobile Cross Flow Filtration
The Technology:
Another classic example of a unique VA Filtration technology - Lo-Cross-Flo mobile microfiltration. Utilizing a significant increased surface area over that of traditional systems, we are able to operate at reduced trans-membrane pressures, resulting in less "stripping" of the wine. Due to a difference in membrane technology, we have reduced the required crossflow to 25% of that of our competitors.
At pre-set times, the filtered solids within the membrane are backwashed into an on-board storage tank, where they are processed further using a higher crossflow system. On larger lots, these solids can be backwashed into an external tank for processing at a later stage.
This system, currently operating in Australia, South Africa and USA, creates a far gentler, one-step filtration for your wine.
